Common Questions

Volunteer FAQ

Is there a minimum time commitment?
We ask for a minimum of 2 hours per week and a 3-month initial commitment. This allows enough time for onboarding and to make a meaningful contribution. Longer commitments are always welcome and appreciated.
Are all roles truly remote?
Yes — all current volunteer roles can be performed fully remotely. We use email, video calls, and shared documents for collaboration. You can volunteer from anywhere in the United States.
Do I need a finance background to volunteer?
Not at all — unless you are applying for the Financial Literacy Educator or Grant Research roles, which benefit from relevant background. Most roles require only strong communication skills, reliability, and a genuine commitment to the mission.
Will I receive a reference or volunteer verification letter?
Yes. After a completed minimum 3-month engagement, we are happy to provide a letter verifying your volunteer service and describing your contributions. Long-term volunteers may also request professional reference letters from organizational leadership.
Can organizations or groups volunteer together?
Absolutely. Corporate volunteer groups, university organizations, fraternal organizations, and VSOs are welcome to partner with KIDS Future Fund for group volunteer engagements. Contact us at info@kidsfuturefund.org to discuss group opportunities.
