About the Program
6 questions
What is KIDS Future Fund?
+
KIDS Future Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeds verified investment accounts for children, creating a foundation for long-term financial independence. Unlike traditional charities that provide short-term relief, we provide capital ownership β real invested assets in a child's name that grow through compound interest for 18+ years.
What does K.I.D.S. stand for?
+
K.I.D.S. stands for Knowledge, Investment, Discipline, and Success. These four principles guide our entire program. We believe children must gain financial knowledge, real investment exposure, long-term discipline, and ultimately achieve financial success in adulthood.
How is KIDS Future Fund different from other charities?
+
Most charities provide food, clothing, or one-time financial assistance. KIDS Future Fund provides something extremely rare β capital ownership. Your donation becomes real invested capital in a verified child's name, not a gift that gets spent. The investment grows through compound interest for decades, giving children a financial foundation most adults never had.
Is KIDS Future Fund a registered nonprofit?
+
Yes. KIDS Future Fund is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our 501(c)(3) status is currently pending with the IRS. Once approved, all qualifying donations will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We will update this page once our determination letter is received.
Who founded KIDS Future Fund and why?
+
KIDS Future Fund was founded after witnessing firsthand how military service can permanently change the course of a family's financial life. Injuries, long deployments, and the loss of a parent create lasting challenges that extend far beyond the battlefield β and financial obstacles often appear precisely when children need a foundation most. The program was built to ensure those children already have investments growing when that moment arrives. While it was born from the military community, the mission extends to every child who deserves a better financial start.
What is the long-term vision of the program?
+
Our long-term vision is a generation of financially empowered children who begin adulthood with real investment assets already growing. We aim to expand nationwide, partner with corporations and government programs, and develop financial literacy curriculum that reaches children in schools and homes across America. The ultimate goal: every child starts adulthood with investments already working for them.

Enrollment
6 questions
How do I enroll my child?
+
Visit our Enrollment page and complete the application form. You will need your child's basic information, a valid email address, and details about the investment account you plan to open in your child's name. Our team will follow up within 5β10 business days to guide you through verification.
Is there a cost to enroll?
+
Enrollment is completely free. KIDS Future Fund never charges families any fees. The program is funded entirely through donor contributions and organizational fundraising.
Does my child need an investment account before I apply?
+
You can submit your enrollment application before opening an account. Our team will help guide you through selecting and opening the right type of account during the verification process. However, funding will not be released until a qualifying account is confirmed in your child's name.
What age does my child need to be to enroll?
+
There is no minimum age requirement. We actively encourage enrollment from infancy through the teenage years. The earlier an account is opened, the more time compound growth has to work. A child enrolled at birth has 18+ years of potential market growth ahead of them.
How long does the verification process take?
+
Standard verification typically takes 5β10 business days. Veteran family applications are prioritized and often processed faster. You will receive email updates at each stage of the process. If additional documentation is needed, our team will contact you directly.
Can I enroll more than one child?
+
Yes. Each child requires a separate enrollment application and a separate investment account in their individual name. Please submit one application per child. Our team will coordinate verification for multiple children from the same family.

Investment Accounts
5 questions
What type of investment account do I need to open?
+
The most common option is a custodial brokerage account (also called a UTMA or UGMA account), available through providers like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or Vanguard. These are straightforward to open online. Trust accounts also qualify. If you are unsure, submit your application and our team will help you identify the right option for your family.
Does KIDS Future Fund control or manage the investment account?
+
No. Your family owns and controls the account at all times. KIDS Future Fund's role is to contribute verified funding into the account β we do not manage, access, advise, or control the investments in any way. All investment decisions remain entirely with the family and the account custodian.
Can my child withdraw the funds early?
+
Withdrawal rules depend on the account type chosen. Custodial accounts transfer full control to the child when they reach the age of majority (typically 18β21 depending on state law). We strongly encourage families to leave funds invested until adulthood to maximize compound growth β but the decision belongs to the family.
Where should I open the investment account?
+
We recommend low-cost brokerage providers such as Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or Vanguard β all of which offer custodial accounts with no account minimums or fees. These institutions are well-established, trustworthy, and offer access to the low-cost index funds and ETFs that align with long-term investment goals.
Does KIDS Future Fund offer investment advice?
+
No. KIDS Future Fund is not a registered investment advisor and does not provide personal financial or investment advice. Our role is to fund verified accounts and provide financial literacy education. All investment decisions are made by the family. We always recommend consulting a licensed financial advisor for personalized guidance.
π
Donations
5 questions
Where does my donation go?
+
Every donation is allocated as follows: 50% is deposited directly into verified children's investment accounts. 35% is invested into a low-cost ETF growth fund for long-term compounding. 15% funds operations and financial literacy education programs. That means 85% of every dollar goes directly toward children's financial futures.
Is my donation tax deductible?
+
KIDS Future Fund is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our determination letter is currently pending with the IRS. Once approved, donations will be fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an official donation receipt by email immediately after each contribution. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
Will I receive a donation receipt?
+
Yes. An official donation receipt is automatically emailed to you immediately after your gift is processed. The receipt includes your name, donation amount, date, and transaction ID. Please save this email for your tax records.
Can I make a recurring donation?
+
Recurring donation options may be available through our payment processor. If you would like to set up a monthly or annual contribution, please contact our team and we will assist you in setting that up.
Is my payment information secure?
+
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of organizations worldwide. KIDS Future Fund does not store any payment card information. All transactions are SSL encrypted end-to-end.

Veteran Families
4 questions
Why does KIDS Future Fund prioritize veteran families?
+
KIDS Future Fund was born from firsthand experience with how military service changes the course of a family's life. Injuries, long deployments, and the loss of a parent create challenges that extend far beyond active duty β and financial obstacles often appear precisely when children are beginning to pursue education or their first career opportunities. We honor that sacrifice by ensuring those children receive priority access to the financial foundation they deserve.
Who qualifies for veteran priority enrollment?
+
Children of disabled veterans and fallen service members qualify for priority enrollment status. This includes children whose parent sustained a service-connected disability or who lost a parent in the line of duty. Please select "Veteran Family" during enrollment and our team will reach out to confirm eligibility and provide dedicated support.
What does priority enrollment mean in practice?
+
Priority enrollment means your application moves to the front of our verification queue. It also means you receive dedicated support from our team throughout the process, faster processing times, and direct follow-up to make enrollment as smooth as possible for your family.
Are veteran family programs still open to non-veteran families?
+
Yes. KIDS Future Fund is open to all families who want to give their child a financial head start. Veteran families receive priority status, but enrollment is not restricted to military families. Every child deserves early access to investment capital β our program is built to serve as many children as possible.
π
Financial Education
4 questions
What financial education does KIDS Future Fund provide?
+
KIDS Future Fund provides financial literacy resources for both children and their families. This includes educational materials on saving, compound interest, investing basics, long-term thinking, and the ownership mindset. Education runs alongside the investment account β so children grow up understanding what they own and why it matters.
Why is financial education part of the program?
+
Owning an investment account means little without understanding how and why it grows. We believe financial literacy must begin in childhood. A child who reaches adulthood with both an investment portfolio and the knowledge to manage it is far better positioned than one who has capital but no context for what to do with it.
How does compound interest work for children's accounts?
+
Compound interest means your investment earns returns β and then those returns earn returns. Over time, this creates exponential growth. A child whose account is seeded early has 18+ years for this process to work. Small amounts invested at birth can grow dramatically by adulthood β which is why time in the market is the single greatest wealth-building factor available to children.
Will KIDS Future Fund expand its education programs?
+
Yes. As the organization grows, we plan to develop a full financial literacy curriculum designed for children of various ages, partner with schools and community organizations, and create family-guided learning resources that make investing education accessible to every enrolled family. Our vision is to make financial knowledge as foundational as reading and math.
