Accessibility
Statement
KIDS Future Fund is committed to ensuring that our website and program are accessible to every family, donor, and community member β including people with disabilities. This page explains our accessibility standards, known limitations, and how to reach us if you need help.
Accessible to Every
Family We Serve
KIDS Future Fund believes that every child deserves a financial future β and every family deserves equal access to the tools and information that make that possible. Accessibility is not an afterthought. It is a core part of our mission.
We are actively working to ensure that our website meets or exceeds the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard β the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility.
Information and UI components are presented in ways users can perceive β including via screen readers and alternative formats.
All interface components and navigation are operable via keyboard, without requiring mouse-only interactions.
Content is written in plain language. Navigation is predictable and consistent across all pages of the site.
Content is built to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of assistive technologies, now and as they evolve.
WCAG 2.1 Conformance Target
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define three levels of conformance. Our current target and ongoing goal is Level AA compliance across all pages of kidsfuturefund.org.
Accessibility Features
Across Our Website
The following features are designed into our website to support users with a range of disabilities and assistive technology needs.
Pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1βH4), landmark regions, and semantic HTML elements so screen readers can navigate content logically and predictably.
All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes so screen readers skip them appropriately.
Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds β meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast requirements.
All interactive elements β links, buttons, accordion menus, and forms β are fully accessible via keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse or touch screen.
Visible focus outlines are maintained on all interactive elements so keyboard users can clearly see which element is currently active on the page.
The site is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile β ensuring accessibility is maintained regardless of screen size or device type.
Text can be resized up to 200% using browser zoom controls without loss of content or functionality β supporting users with low vision.
All form fields are associated with descriptive labels. Error messages are clear, specific, and programmatically linked to the relevant input field.
Links use descriptive text that makes sense out of context β avoiding vague phrases like "click here" so screen reader users understand each link's destination.
Known Limitations &
Areas of Ongoing Work
We are committed to honest disclosure. The following areas have known accessibility limitations that we are actively working to improve. If any of these affect your ability to use our site, please contact us and we will provide the information in an alternative format.
Some SVG-based charts (such as the fund allocation donut chart on the Transparency page) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Text-based alternatives are provided alongside all charts.

Third-party plugins including WPForms, WP Full Pay (Stripe), and WooCommerce have their own accessibility implementations that are outside our direct control. We select plugins with strong accessibility records.
βοΈ Monitored β contact us for accessible alternatives
If video content is added to the site in the future, we are committed to providing closed captions and audio descriptions. No video content is currently hosted on kidsfuturefund.org.
